I found your website after reading from Katie Fish's (which I stumbled onto hers as well).  Your story is very inspiring and I am so glad to hear that things are moving in a positive direction right now.  You are a very beautiful girl and I pray that you will be blessed with only the best.  What a wonderful support system you have.  Stay strong in the faith, the Lord knows you and the trials that you and your family are facing.

I was looking for pictures on the internet to help me know that there is hair after chemo. I came across shelsi's picture! What a story! I hope all is well and I am so happy that Shelsi is so positive. Shelsi there is a glow about you and it is helping so many others. It is crazy to be at the whim of God but he really holds us in his hands and carries us through these times. I sometimes have a hard time being brave after my cancer. There is a since of gratitude I feel I should live up to and a feeling for life that I have been blessed with. I dont want to loose what cancer gave me. It really does change your perspective on life. For one thing having long beautiful hair, eyes graced with eyelashes and energy that a young woman in her twenties has and then looking in the mirror and seeing a totally different person is so weird. Where did I go? I ask my self. (I had long hair too and i was diagnosed at 23) But, there is something liberating about going out in public and not caring at all.. that I dont have makeup on, I have no hair and i feel like my skin is so white you can see right through me! It DOSEN'T Matter!!! What matters is what we are doing with our life and if our smile is shinning through!!! Thank you for reminding me what counts. I really dont need to worry about when my hair comes back but I am sure glad that I came across your page. You are a strength to me and you give me hope. I wish you the best and answered prayers. Just thought I'd drop by and visit your "original" website. It's been a while. I've been talking with your dad (my best friend) on a regular basis, so he's been keeping me up to date with the latest. Shel, your such a brave amazing woman. I can't express how much you inspire me (and everyone I know that knows you) with your faith, happiness, and love for life! I believe there is a greater cause to your life, a calling if you will, to inspire and bring hope to those you maybe have lost hope or lost their way in life. Your sweet spirit radiates from your soul, and your will to live and love keeps that spirit so strong. Your faith is amazing. So many others in your situation would become embittered, sad, and hopeless, yet you have the strength and faith to not only love the Lord and thank him for his goodness, but also lift and inspire others. If there were ever a modern day super hero, it would be you! At least your a hero to me. I love ya Shesli!

What a crazy journey you and your family are on! I'm sorry you have had to experience all of this while still playing the newlywed game! Obviously you are headed for great things together because God is solidifying your marriage and giving you the condensed version of a lifetime of aches and pains in a short time so you can walk together now with a stronger love then the rest of us slow learners take years to accomplish! My mother Nancy Boyce has been keeping me updated, but it is nice to hear it in your words. God has been telling me lately to keep an eternal perspective and I have been complaining. I thank you for showing me that I really do need to be listening to what He has to say and to keep a positive attitude about all that is going on. I will be praying for you and your family and I hope that you will soon be able to get back to normal life, even though you are so far ahead of the rest of us!
