COMMENTS:

Thank you for your testimony, Shelsi...it strengthens my own. We were away from Camarillo for Easter Sunday, but even in a little branch of the church where we were visiting, we heard a wonderful message about our Savior and I felt him close and especially grateful to be able to take the Sacrament.  I know he knows each one of us. I know our Heavenly Father loves each one of us so much that he allowed His only begotten to suffer and be crucified that His plan of Happiness could be accomplished.

I'm thankful to know people like you Shelsi, who even though you are going through a great trial, your faith grows stronger and your relationship to your Savior is dearer.

I know he will strengthen you and help you through your difficult times.

With love to you and Eric and your families,

Debi Lassen

My Precious Daughter,

I do believe you have felt the Savior's embrace  - and without the filters of your human existence.  You have been touched by the light of God in a way that few of us will ever remember.  In Native American Tradition there is what's called a Vision Quest.  When someone wants to receive messages from "The Elders" or Grandfather's who have passed on they go into the wilderness and deprive themselves of food & water (fasting) for days in order to bring about an altered state of consciousness that will allow them to see beyond the veil.  When their vision finally comes they know what their life path is and what they are to do to make this world a better place.  It seems your cancer has been your Vision Quest.

Your soul has always known your path, but the mind often filters out so much of what our soul already knows.  You have known so much about spirit your whole life on a deeper level (that has been evident in the way you have lived your life).  But I don't believe until now that your conscious mind has understood it all.

Your path my child is one of greatness.  Your light will shine on many for generations to come.  The Savior taught two great things:  Love God and Love each other.  There is nothing else more important in this life than learning to forgive and to love unconditionally.  We cannot know anothers heart or mind or what experience has lead them on their path.  We can only love each soul - just as the Savior taught.  That love will bring more people to the truth than any judgment ever could.

I love you Shelsi.  You are one of Heavenly Father's Elect.  Thank you for reassurring me that I'm doing an okay job at being your mom and for sharing with the world your light of truth.  You have filled my heart with joy and comfort.

Shelsi,
This is your Uncle John talkin' to ya now. I've been so absorbed with my emotional and mental strugles and pain that I almost forget that I am not the only one in the world that is going through strugles in thier lives. Just a year ago I thought I could take on any challange but I am finding that I ask for to many challanges and I get my self bogged down in my own life and then I become useless as a tool for our Heavenly Father! I have alot of layers of darkness that have to be stripped away. The lucky thihng is that between each layer some how there is a layer of the light of Jesus Christ between each layer of that darkness and it helps to guide me back home, so far every time but ya know I like to push the Lord. But He pushes back just enough to let me know that he is watching me and that lets me know that I am still accountable to him and I must do my best to perform well under all challanges.
Shelsi you have performed well for Our Lord in your challange and it has given strength to those around you and you may never know in this life just how much strength you have freely given to some!

Shelsi, I Love You with all my heart, I truly do!
Never give in when the battle is ragging!

LOL Uncle John

COMMENTS:

I have faith in God
Not perfect faith -- I still follow the ways of fear on certain occasions, but my faith has led me to amazing discoveries, insights, and life changing opportunities.

When God sent me tears to heal my soul, and laughter to free my spirit, I acquiesced.
When God sat me before pillows and bid that I smack them with a tennis racket, I obeyed.
When God offered Buddhism to ease my grief, I accepted.
From The New Testament I learned brotherly love.
From The Jewish Faith I learned not to take things so seriously.
From Taoism I learned that God doesn’t take things seriously.
From Mormons I learned the power and bliss of community, and perseverance against all odds.
From Catholics I learned deep devotion.
From Hindus I learned sweetness and tolerance.

My faith in God has guided me to the love that boils within me.
From that love I can see the world as whole.  I can see all peoples, regardless of faith, as one under God.
From that perspective I have experienced the paradox of perfect health in a world that believes in disease.
From that knowing I see all in perfect health.  As each person embraces this perspective, they demonstrate what I see as the truth of our existence: that disease is an error.
It was never meant to be.  It comes from a belief that our true essence is flesh.
My faith in God has allowed me to demonstrate this to myself, through a series of “impossible” personal healings.
And this faith has allowed me to apply it to others.
And from this faith I see you, Shelsi, whole, healthy, and filled with the Joy that I believe God intended for us all!
