Hi Everyone,
Shelsi is still feeling well, although she is pretty tired and has been sleeping most of the day. We watched August Rush on her laptop last night, her 3rd time, my first and we both cried. GREAT movie!
The doctor said that this part of the process won't be too bad for her. But in about 11-14 more days when her counts drop to zero is when she will be the sickest. For some reason we thought that her counts would drop fast while she was getting this high dose chemo every 12 hours, but I guess not. He anticipates she will be here at Cedars for approximately 19 more days if all goes as planned. The transplant is still scheduled for next Tuesday.
We also discovered why she's been having really bad pain in her right jaw. It got so bad last time she was in the hospital she had to take pain meds, and Shel has to be in real pain to do that. Even though we don't like to think the worst, we were all worried that maybe there was a tumor or something causing pressure and pain. But thank goodness she finally discovered, (which she had wondered all along), that it was her wisdom tooth coming through. Now it's through the gum, she doesn't feel the pain anymore. YEA!!
She's been doing some journaling while here and I've been taking lots of pictures, so when I get home and can download them, I'll send some with the next update.
Hope you are all well, and that you will find peace and comfort through whatever challenges you may be facing.
Have a Happy Easter, Passover, or Good Friday, whatever you might be celebrating.
Much Love
Sheri
