Hey Everyone,

I know many of you are on Shelsi and Eric's Blog list so you may have already read her latest entry, but for those of you who didn't, here's the latest.

She saw her regular doctor, Dr. Lill, for the first time in almost 2 months this week. He's been gone, so she's been seeing his partner. When she went in for her appt on Wednesday she found out that he also was diagnosed with cancer. Unbelievable how rampant cancer is! We are adding him to our prayers.

On Thursday, March 13, the SCT (Stem Cell Transplant) process begins. It's going to be an intense few weeks, and the doctor has advised us Shelsi will be sicker than she's ever been, but it's necessary to build her a new immune system. We have great faith that she will pull through it all, but it's not going to be fun for her. So as much funny and inspirational material as you can come up with between now and then would be appreciated so she has a lot of it stored in her memory banks ahead of time to draw from :-)

If all goes as planned she will have her own stem cells drawn beginning March 17. They will then be reintroduced back into her body on March 31 after 7 days of high dose chemo to completely wipe out her immune system. And then the RECOVERY phase of the SCT begins on April 1. At that point it's just a waiting game to see how quickly her body starts replicating the cells.

So in your thoughts and prayers, please focus on the greatest power and most loving and healing comfort to be poured out upon her during this time.

Once we get to the other side of this battle we're going to have one HUGE celebration!

Much love and gratitude.

Sheri

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her first round of Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments, but because a tumor was discovered in her brain it was necessary for her to undergo yet another round. She is now receiving radiation to the brain and if a subsequent MRI indicates she is free of cancer, she will undergo a stem-cell transplant. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
