Hey all of my beautiful friends and family!

It's been a while since I've done an update so I'm sorry if you have wanted to hear from me personally. I want to thank my mom for taking the time to keep you all updated. I love her updates! I also love that the updates aren't always focused on me.

I heard a quote once that said when a person gets cancer, the whole family gets cancer. This isn't only about me because my sweet husband and family have been with me every step of the way, wishing they could take some of this burden from me. They already do, though, with every kind word or gesture, every smile, every time they make me laugh, or make me feel special and loved.

I know a lot of you that read this know my mom. I am so glad that you can stay in touch with her and know a little of what is going on in her life. You are lucky to know her! She has really gone above and beyond to help me through this trying time. She drives 2 or more hours to pick me up every time I have to go to the hospital and she stays with me through chemo for a couple nights. Then she comes and helps me as much as I need during the week following chemo. It is so wonderful having her help and company.

We went to sushi for lunch the other day. It was really good! I went to my dad's Monday and entered some receipts in the computer for his carpet cleaning business. Then we went to lunch with his fiancé, Gretchen, my brother, my sister and her husband Andrew and their handsome little boys, A.J. and Tony.

I really need to take more pictures. Today I went to the Camarillo outlets with my mother-in-law, Lorrie. Neither of us bought anything. I know, how boring. A couple Fridays ago my mom, brother, sister and her family, my husband, and myself went to Universal City Walk to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D. It was so much fun! My sister and I both remember songs from the movie but neither of us remember any of the movie itself so I don't know if we've ever even seen it. Cute movie, though.

My in-laws went to Disneyland with their son Dodd and his wife Amy and their 3 children. They had fun! A bit cold and overcast, though. Maybe next time Eric and I will join them! We need to have a fun day! We were planning on having a fun day in Ventura at the pier and a round of mini golf but then the weather was all cold and overcast. Go figure. We did have a really good breakfast at Denny's, though.

Well, this is getting to be like my dear diary update. Sorry about that. Just one more dear diary and I'll update you on cancer related stuff. The girl that signed my guestbook named Alena is a wonderful and amazing inspiration. I spent a while this morning reading her blog starting from the very first entry back in May. What a special person she is! Gorgeous inside and out! It was so nice connecting with a girl my age who has been through chemo and surgery. She is LDS (Mormon) too! If any of you want to read an inspiring story, read her blog!

I have to be to the hospital at 7:30 in the morning on Tuesday. I will be getting a P.E.T. scan and an MRI. Let's pray that the results are positive. Positive as in good, not bad positive as in "sorry, your results came back positive." Following that I will meet with the doctor and start my Rituxin. Then probably around 9p.m. I will be admitted to the hospital.

Wednesday I will get chemo and then just hang out till Saturday or Sunday. Last chemo I got discharged on Saturday so that was a treat! Let's hope I'll get to go home on Saturday this time as well. The hospital is getting really old. No more hospital food, please.

Eric usually comes to the hospital Thursday night after work and stays to take me home. He says he can smell the hospital food on his clothes and even on his skin from going to the cafeteria even if he only goes just once. I can't and that's probably a good thing. HAHA! To me, he always smells clean like fresh laundry or nice cologne. I can almost smell it now!

Well, I guess I'll go for now. I will do another update soon! Thank you all for your love and support! I know many prayers have been said and many answered and I am eternally grateful.

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her first round of Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments, but because a tumor was discovered in her brain it was necessary for her to undergo yet another round. She is now receiving radiation to the brain and if a subsequent MRI indicates she is free of cancer, she will undergo a stem-cell transplant. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
