[Thursday, Oct 04, 2007]

At 6:00 a.m. this morning, October 4, 2007, Shelsi had an MRI Brain Scan. Her Neurosurgeon, Dr. Ray Chu, could hardly wait to come in and see her after the report was done. "The scan looks terrific." he said, "Dr. Lill is doing a good job."

I looked at Shel with tears in my eyes and said, "I think things are turning around." She said, "My lip is tingling." Then she said, "I feel it too."

My heart has weighed more than I can count since January 25 of this year. But for the first time since then, I believe that my beautiful daughter Shelsi and her amazing husband Eric will go on to raise children - and I feel at least 1000 lbs lighter.

Thank you all for your amazing love and support. As usual, I have to give the disclaimer that - she is NOT out of the woods YET - but for the first time I truly believe - she WILL beat this!

The pictures are of her last admission to Cedars On October 2, for round 3 of chemo. She is feeling fantastic and feels so blessed. What a miracle this has all been thanks to the wonderful doctors and staff, medical breakthroughs, and prayers from all over the world.

Much Love and gratitude.

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. All indications are that she is doing much better and is well on the way to full recovery. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
