Hi Everyone,

I just finished my first week with Shel, and it felt really good to be there to help her. This last incident took a lot out of her, and without help I doubt she would have the strength to fix her own meals. She's extremely tired --understandable after brain surgery -- and barely has the energy to carry on a conversation. Her daddy wanted to see her and just happened to be in Malibu one day, so I drove her out there to met him at Neptune's Net for lunch. By the time we got home she collapsed into bed for a few hours. I've included a picture of the outing below.

As you can see by one of the pix, Brad Garrett is a man of his word. When Shel got home from the hospital there was a fed-ex package waiting for her. It was a full color illustrated book of episodes from Everybody Loves Raymond and pages all about the cast. It also was the last cast book signed by every member of the cast before the show went off the air and before Peter Boyle died. Brad said he wanted Shel to have it. WOW! That was amazing. He also sent her a DVD with some episodes on it and another one from a stand-up show he did in Vegas. Also sent a signed picture of himself.

Next Wednesday she goes back in for round 2. I'm just not sure how her body can handle another round so soon, but we are just trusting the doctor at this point. I'll be there Monday and Tuesday, and then I'll take her to Cedars on Wednesday, spend that night with her and then head back to work on Thursday and Friday.

Thanks everyone for your offers of places to stay, and thank you Nellie, for letting me crash at your house at night, and Bethany for the use of your room and bed. I appreciate it so much. I hope you had a good time on your vacation. Thanks again Buzz for accomdating me with the option to work odd hours so I can acquire some income while tackling every mother's worst nightmare. You know it eases my mind a lot.

Please continue sending your positive thoughts, love, and prayers Shelsi's way. She needs them more than ever.

Love and Blessings

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. All indications are that she is doing much better and is well on the way to full recovery. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
