Hi Everyone,

Have you ever tried to figure something out, but no matter how hard you tried, the answers didn't come until you asked for help or shared your dilemma with others?  That's where I've been.  Trying to solve my problems with my logical brain alone - thinking the answer would just magically come to me in one of those "Aha" moments.  (I've also done a lot of praying:-)

But I'm growing weary of waiting on a solution.  So I'm going the more difficult route of asking for help from my fellow mortals:-) There are a lot of amazing people out there who just might have the answers I'm looking for.

But first, Shelsi is doing really well today.  She starts chemotherapy tonight - in fact she may have already started it.  Currently, the plan is she will remain in the hospital for 5 days after each of her 8 rounds of chemo which will be 2 or 3 weeks apart.   Monday, which is her and Eric's 2nd anniversary, is when she will probably go home.

They are still trying to figure out exactly what type of lymphoma the tumor was, but they do know it was lymphoma, so they can start treatment based on that.  Now, for my agenda.

My heart, mind and soul are aching to be closer to Shelsi right now, especially over the next four months when she will need help between treatments, and I've finally decided it's time to MAKE that happen.  If anyone knows anyone who has an extra room where I could crash at night or even rent for real cheap for the next couple of months around Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Oxnard, Camarillo area, I would be so grateful.

Also, I will need to start actively looking for work in that area, so any job leads you could share would also be helpful.  I know that "God helps those who help themselves" and I've been trying as hard as I can to make the most appropriate and fair decisions for myself and Steve - and there just is no simple way to do this.

I do know that this crisis with Shelsi has given me new determination to be there to help her and Eric in whatever way I can.  And I think my time is the most valuable thing I have to offer them right now.

Feel free to contact me any ideas or suggestions you may have. My email address is on the contacts page [sorry for the inconvient manner in which we are offering the contact info on this page -- it is done that way to foil SPAMers -- webmaster].

As always - much love and gratitude.

Sheri

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. All indications are that she is doing much better and is well on the way to full recovery. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
