Just got word from Sheri that Shel is out of the operating room and on her way to Intensive care with an excellent prognosis. The 5cm Lymphoma mass was "easily" removed from the area of the frontal lobe because it was separate from her brain. She will be undergoing another round of Chemo just to make sure any other cancerous cells are destroyed (should they exist).

If you are wondering why the previous round of Chemo didn't prevent this recent invasion of Shel's immaculate self, there is this thing that I only recently learned about called "the blood/brain barrier". The chemicals used in the original chemo episode were not able to cross this barrier. The new chemo will. From my uneducated reckoning, it seems there aren't any more places for this menace to hide. So, I would think that the outlook is pretty good from here.

Eric, Jamin, Kira, Ric and Sheri are all at the hospital with Shelsi holding faith for the finest result, and they are all deeply appreciative of all of your support -- from them, Thank You from that place in the heart that knows only gratitude.

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th, 2007, she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. She has completed her Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments. All indications are that she is doing much better and is well on the way to full recovery. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
