Hi Everyone,

Steve pointed out to me today that I kind of left people hanging on a rather dark note - and that I should at least give everyone a lighter update, so here it is.

Shelsi and Eric made it to the hospital on Friday where they spent a couple of hours with her being monitored in the cancer center. Her fever finally came down so they sent her home with antibiotics. By Saturday she was feeling great! Today, Sunday, is Eric's birthday and I hope he feels the love and gratitude that we all have for him at this time. He has been an amazing support to her - thereby us - during this whole ordeal.

My email must have touched a soft place in a lot of people because it generated more mails back to me than any update I've ever sent. I'm sorry if I worried you all, but I can't tell you how much I love and appreciate you ALL for your beautiful care and concern at learning about my heavy heart. It made me feel so loved. Thank You!

Here's a picture of Shelsi and me at the Ventura Pier when I spent the day with her on Thursday. We had to make a trip to the Social Security Administration in Ventura, so decided to go watch the ocean for awhile. What a beautiful and healing place the ocean is.

You may have noticed another link on the home page by the guestbook. Shelsi's aunt Lisa Jill In Canada has a friend who works for the Lethbridge College and they are doing a fund raiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. So we decided to add the link which is pretty clever and humorous - which we can all use at this point - doncha think:-) So if you are so inclined - feel free to help them reach their goal. Every little bit helps!!

Much love and gratitude - as usual.

Sheri

Shel and her Ma at Ventura Peir -- May 03, 2007

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. Now she is out of Intensive Care but is still undergoing Chemotherapy treatments. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
