Greetings once again Friends and Family,

Just a quick message to let you know the latest with our girl, Shelsi. She had chemo last Wednesday and handled it well. She had some body aches associated with the shot she got on Thursday to boost her white cell count, which is rather typical, and she is tired due to being anemic. It could also have something to do with the battle her body is waging right now too, don’t you think? But her white cell count is still good. We are still waiting on more imaging studies to show what progress has been made with Chemo thus far. We do know the tumor has shrunk significantly. YEA! Hopefully when she goes back in for Chemo next Wednesday they will have been able to arrange the PET scan and we will have more GREAT news to report. If you haven’t had a chance to sign her guestbook please do. She loves reading all the messages even from people she’s never met - and so do I. For those who have signed it – thank you so much. Your words always bring such joy and comfort to Shelsi and all of us.

Tuesday night we attended the Cedars Sinai dinner to honor all the volunteers for the remarkable service they render to patients. While Shel was in the hospital she was interviewed for the video that they showed last night so they invited her and her family to attend. It was a beautiful night and made us all very thankful for the many people who donate their time so graciously to make certain that patients are as comfortable as possible during their stay at Cedars Sinai. From helping in the ED (Emergency Department), which is where our new friend Lisa, (top Left in the picture) volunteers, to the Musical Healing volunteers, like Les (top row middle ) to the Pooch patrol, volunteers who bring their dogs in to visit patients, they are all such caring and compassionate individuals.

Thanks again to all of you who bring Joy and Light to us in all your various ways:-)

In Gratitude and Love ~ Sheri

Shelsi is the daughter of Sheri and Ric Hancock, and the wife of Eric Stolworthy. On Jan 25th she was diagnosed with "Diffused Large B-cell lymphoma" -- in other words, Cancer. It manifested as an 14 cm mass in her chest that was pushing on her heart and constricting the blood flow to the rest of her body. Now she is out of Intensive Care but is still undergoing Chemotherapy treatments. Her husband Eric, her parents Ric & Sheri and all the rest of her family and friends thank you dearly for all your prayers and support!
