Hi All,
[Friday, Feburary 2, 2007]
Shelsi is now safe and sound at Cedars Sinai Hospital in
Beverly Hills. The wonderful people at Ventura County
Medical Center worked past their normal hours to make sure
Shelsi is provided the best care possible. They also worked
non-stop to find a hospital to take on her case.
It was hit and miss for awhile but we finally got the news yesterday [Thurs. Feb 1, 2007] around 5:00 p.m. that Cedars Sinai had accepted her and by 6:00 she was in the ambulance. She is in the Saperstien Critical Care Unit room 5S62. They have done another Echo cardiogram of her heart and more blood work and now they are trying to decide the best course of action.
She will most likely be starting chemotherapy tomorrow and it will be continuous for 5 days. They have the heart team on hand in case the chemo causes any holes in her heart. We've crossed some major hurdles already thanks to a lot of faith, prayers and hard work, but the biggest one is yet to be crossed - a clean bill of health for Shelsi.
Whatever you all have meant to us in the past - you mean even more to us now. We are all connected in this web of life and we can truly feel your love at this time.
