OK -- so we didn't reach even the base target amount of $5000, but Steve agreed to have his head shorn anyway, which turned out to be a good move on his part, not only because of all the compliments he's been receiving, but it was an excellent strategy for countering some of the affects of global warming (and Summer, too).

After paying the PayPal fee, we were able to divide $3005.00 equally between:

Shelsi and her family wish to thank all who contributed. You have made this ordeal far more barable, made it possible for Shelsi to acquire the tools she needs to rebuild her health, and provided Layne's Legacy with the ability to help yet more families weather the terrible tribulations and logistical nightmares that attend such episodes as Shelsi has endured.
